Salary: SAR 3000 to SAR 4500 to per month, depending on experience.
Your job
Turn shop drawings and cutting lists into a daily production plan
Assign cutters, fitters and welders by skill and workload
Supervise cutting, fit-up and welding of columns, beams, trusses and purlins
Check alignment, squareness and joint gaps before tack and final welding
Make sure welders follow the approved WPS
Handle QC hold points, rework and rejected pieces
Track steel stock and plan cutting layouts to cut wastage
Dispatch finished steel to match the erection schedule
Enforce workshop safety, and report daily output and delays to the Project Manager
You must have
Workshop supervision of structural steel with a real team under you
Knowledge of fit-up, SMAW, MIG and FCAW welding, and weld quality
Ability to state the tonnage you handled and your team size
Ability to read shop drawings and cutting lists
Currently based in Saudi Arabia
PEB manufacturer or structural steel fabricator background is an advantage
Not for
Piping, HVAC, ductwork, fencing, facade or sheet metal fabrication
Site erection or QC inspection roles
