### Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Port Transportation Sales & Operations Manager to manage port transportation business development, container movements, daily transport operations, customer relationships, and profitability.
### Key Responsibilities
1\. Sales & Business Development
- Develop new customers for port container transportation.
- Build relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs clearance companies, importers, and exporters.
- Secure monthly and long-term transportation contracts.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate rates, and achieve monthly sales targets.
- Maintain relationships with existing customers and identify new business opportunities.
2\. Port Transportation Operations
- Manage daily container transportation from ports to customer warehouses and destinations.
- Coordinate container pickup, delivery, and empty-container returns.
- Supervise drivers, dispatchers, transport coordinators, and subcontracted transporters.
- Monitor container movements, delivery schedules, and truck availability.
- Coordinate with port terminals, customs clearance agents, and shipping companies.
- Minimize detention, demurrage, delays, and unnecessary operational costs.
3\. Fleet & Vendor Management
- Manage company-owned and outsourced trailers and container trucks.
- Negotiate competitive transportation rates with subcontractors.
- Monitor fleet utilization, diesel expenses, trip costs, and driver performance.
- Ensure transportation safety and compliance with Saudi regulations.
4\. Financial & Performance Management
- Monitor sales revenue, transportation costs, and profit margins.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operations reports.
- Follow up on customer payments and outstanding invoices.
- Achieve departmental profitability and operational efficiency targets.
### Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in port transportation, container logistics, or heavy transportation.
- Strong knowledge of Jeddah Islamic Port, King Abdulaziz Port Dammam, or other Saudi ports.
- Existing relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and import/export companies.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and operational management skills.
- Fluent in English and Arabic preferred.
- Good knowledge of Excel, transportation management systems, and reporting.
