Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems. The role supports safe, reliable, and efficient operations within industrial or manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on mechanical equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, compressors, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, valves, and related systems.
- Identify mechanical faults and replace or repair defective components.
- Carry out equipment installation, alignment, lubrication, and adjustments according to technical specifications.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions.
- Test equipment after maintenance to verify safe operation and proper performance.
- Record maintenance activities, inspection findings, spare parts used, and equipment condition.
- Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Follow safety procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and lockout/tagout practices.
- Maintain tools, workshop equipment, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related mechanical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in industrial or manufacturing facilities.
- Practical knowledge of mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
- Experience working with rotating equipment and mechanical systems.
- Ability to use maintenance tools, measuring instruments, and alignment equipment.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work shifts and respond to maintenance requirements when needed.
