Mechanical Sales Engineer – Pre-Sales And Application

We are looking for a junior Mechanical Sales Engineer to join our team in an office-based role. The successful candidate will support the sales cycle by selecting suitable equipment, preparing cost estimates, and coordinating technical submissions and related documentation.

Key responsibilities

- Select and size mechanical equipment based on project requirements, specifications, and customer needs.
- Prepare quotations, cost estimates, technical proposals, and equipment schedules.
- Prepare material submittals, technical data sheets, compliance statements, and other sales documentation.
- Review project specifications and drawings to identify equipment requirements.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to clarify technical and commercial requirements.
- Provide pre-sales and application engineering support to the sales team.
- Follow up on technical submissions and support the sales process through order placement.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in mechanical sales, applications, or pre-sales engineering.
- Experience selecting pumps is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and equipment schedules.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with selection software is an advantage.
- A detail-oriented, proactive approach and willingness to learn.
