Core Responsibilities

• Physical and Visual Examination: Conduct visual checks, operational tests, and stress or load evaluations on machinery, vehicles, heavy equipment, or static assets (like pressure vessels and storage tanks).
• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Utilize methods like ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, or liquid penetrant testing to uncover internal or surface flaws.
• Compliance and Code Verification: Ensure all items meet industry specifications and statutory guidelines (such as ASME, API, ASTM, or OSHA standards).
• Defect Identification and Hazard Control: Spot wear, cracks, leaks, corrosion, or mechanical failures, and immediately flag or quarantine unsafe gear in designated hold areas.
• Documentation and Reporting: Log pass/fail results, write detailed corrective-action reports, maintain inspection test plans (ITPs), and review engineering blueprints or manuals.
• Maintenance and Repair Recommendations: Advise management or engineering teams on necessary overhauls, component replacements, or servicing schedules to extend equipment lifespan.
