Supervise and coordinate daily site activities for earthworks and underground utility installation, ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and the construction schedule.
Key duties:
Supervise excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and soil compaction.
Oversee installation of underground utility networks, such as stormwater, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, and electrical or telecommunications ducts, as applicable.
Check setting-out, line, level, invert levels, pipe bedding, slopes, and finished elevations against approved drawings.
Coordinate site crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials, surveyors, and inspections.
Ensure excavation permits, utility clearances, shoring, and other required safety controls are in place.
Monitor workmanship and arrange required inspections and tests before covering or backfilling installed utilities.
Track daily progress, quantities, manpower, and equipment; report delays or site issues to the project team.
Maintain site records and support as-built drawings and handover documentation.
Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience supervising earthworks and underground utility construction.
