🗝️ Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate SAW machines, column & boom systems, and welding rotators.
Perform high-quality longitudinal and circumferential seam welding per WPS.
Conduct pre-weld checks (fit-up, alignment, earthing, wire, and flux setup).
Control parameters (voltage, current, travel speed, wire feed) and monitor weld quality.
Manage consumables (wire, flux recovery/reuse) and daily machine maintenance.
Collaborate with QC and production teams to support NDT and weld inspection.
🎯 Key Requirements
Experience: Minimum 5 years operating SAW machines in pressure vessel or tank fabrication.
Dual Qualification: Qualified in SMAW or GTAW with 5+ years of practical welding experience.
Equipment Mastery: Hands-on experience with column & boom systems and power rotators.
Technical Skills: Ability to read fabrication drawings, follow WPS, and identify welding defects.
Practical Test: Willingness to pass a practical hands-on trade test prior to hiring.
