Semi-Automatic Screen Printing Machine Operator

e are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Screen Printing Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain our semi-automatic silk screen printing equipment. In this role, you will handle production runs on various substrates, ensure precise color registration, and maintain high-quality print standards from the first print to the last.
Key Responsibilities:
• Machine Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate semi-automatic silk screen printing presses according to job specifications.
• Screen Preparation: Align, register, and lock screens into the press; select and install correct squeegees and flood bars.
• Ink Management: Mix and match colors (Plastisol/Water-based) according to Pantone matching systems or specific job requirements; monitor ink levels during production runs.
• Quality Control: Conduct test prints to verify sharpness, color, and placement accuracy; monitor production to catch and fix alignment or bleeding issues immediately.
• Substrate Handling: Feed materials manually into the semi-automatic press and transfer printed items safely to dryers or curing units.
• Maintenance & Clean-up: Perform routine maintenance on the semi-automatic press; thoroughly clean screens, squeegees, and machinery after production runs.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience: Proven experience operating semi-automatic or automatic silk screen printing machinery.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of screen mesh counts, squeegee durometers, ink viscosity, and exposure/registration processes.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for color accuracy, registration alignment, and identifying minor print defects.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy ink buckets or screen frames, and perform repetitive motions.
• Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot minor machine errors, ink drying issues, or screen blockages on the fly.
