ITL Contracting is hiring an MEP Site Inspector to inspect mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations on housing projects. The inspector will check work against approved drawings, specifications, and inspection and test plans, from material delivery through handover.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect HVAC ductwork and equipment, water supply and drainage piping, firefighting systems, electrical containment, cabling, and earthing.
- Check delivered materials against approved submittals. Inspect concealed services before walls, ceilings, or shafts are closed.
- Check pipe slopes, supports, service clearances, and maintenance access. Coordinate with civil and architectural teams to resolve clashes.
- Witness pressure and leakage tests, electrical continuity and insulation resistance tests, and functional checks. Record results and report deviations.
- Document inspection findings, follow up on corrective work, and verify that defects are closed before handover.
Candidate requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant MEP inspection experience. Experience on housing or residential projects is preferred.
- Ability to read coordinated MEP drawings, assess workmanship across disciplines, and prepare clear site inspection reports.
