Job Description
Averroës Academy is looking for a skilled, analytical, and enthusiastic Data Analyst Trainer to deliver engaging, practical, and industry-relevant data analytics training to school students, graduates, and working professionals.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of data analysis, data visualization, statistical concepts, and business intelligence tools, along with the ability to teach learners how to collect, clean, process, analyze, interpret, and present data effectively.
The role involves introducing learners to data analytics through practical exercises, real-world datasets, case studies, and hands-on projects that help them develop analytical thinking, technical skills, and confidence in making data-driven decisions.
The trainer will be responsible for preparing structured lesson plans, developing practical assignments and learning materials, conducting in-person classes, evaluating student progress, and adapting teaching methods to accommodate different age groups and levels of technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver structured data analytics training sessions to school students, graduates, and working professionals.
• Teach fundamental data analytics concepts, including data collection, data cleaning, data processing, data interpretation, and data-driven decision-making.
• Train learners in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, functions, sorting, filtering, conditional formatting, PivotTables, and data analysis techniques.
• Teach data analysis using programming languages such as Python or R, where appropriate.
• Introduce learners to Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
• Teach SQL fundamentals, including database concepts, queries, filtering, sorting, joins, and data extraction.
• Train learners in data visualization and dashboard development using tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.
• Introduce learners to statistical concepts, including descriptive statistics, averages, percentages, distributions, correlation, and basic statistical analysis.
• Teach learners how to identify trends, patterns, relationships, and insights from datasets.
• Guide students in collecting, organizing, cleaning, and preparing datasets for analysis.
• Demonstrate how to create interactive dashboards, charts, graphs, and professional data reports.
• Introduce learners to business intelligence concepts and the practical application of data analytics in business environments.
• Develop practical exercises, assignments, quizzes, case studies, and project-based learning activities using real-world datasets.
• Prepare structured lesson plans, presentations, worksheets, datasets, and instructional materials.
• Conduct hands-on demonstrations and guide students through individual and group data analytics projects.
• Assess student performance, monitor learning progress, and provide constructive feedback.
• Adapt teaching methods and practical activities to accommodate different age groups, learning abilities, and levels of technical knowledge.
• Encourage analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and evidence-based decision-making.
• Keep teaching materials updated in line with current data analytics tools, technologies, and industry practices.
Requirements
• Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, data visualization, data analytics training, or a related professional field.
• Strong understanding of data analytics concepts, data interpretation, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, functions, PivotTables, and data analysis techniques.
• Practical knowledge of at least one data visualization or business intelligence tool, such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of SQL, including database management fundamentals, querying, filtering, and data extraction.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib will be an advantage.
• Understanding of data cleaning, data transformation, data validation, and data preparation techniques.
• Ability to create professional dashboards, reports, charts, and data visualizations.
• Understanding of basic statistical concepts and analytical methodologies.
• Experience working with datasets and conducting practical data analysis projects.
• Ability to explain technical concepts and analytical techniques to beginners and learners with different levels of experience.
• Strong presentation, communication, classroom management, and student engagement skills.
• Ability to prepare structured lesson plans, practical assignments, exercises, and student assessments.
• A bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant data analytics, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or professional teaching certifications will be an advantage.
• Strong English communication skills are required; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
• Availability to deliver in-person classes at the Academy's campus in Riyadh is mandatory.
