To prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations, develop electrical designs, estimate project costs, and ensure compliance with client specifications, IEC standards, and applicable SEC requirements.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Technical Estimation & Quotation
Review RFQs, tender documents, BOQs, drawings, and technical specifications.
Prepare detailed cost estimations for LV switchboards and electrical panels.
Calculate material, components, labor, manufacturing, and other project-related costs.
Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations for electrical components and materials.
Prepare technical and commercial quotations in coordination with the sales team.
Identify technical deviations, exclusions, and project requirements.
Follow up on quotation revisions and maintain estimation records.
B. Electrical Design & Engineering
Prepare electrical designs and single-line diagrams (SLDs) for LV switchboards.
Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and detailed material specifications.
Select appropriate electrical components based on technical requirements.
Ensure designs comply with IEC 61439, SEC specifications, and relevant standards.
Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure designs are practical and production-ready.
Review technical drawings and resolve engineering discrepancies.
C. Project Coordination & Technical Support
Coordinate with the Sales, Procurement, Production, and Quality Departments.
Review client requirements and respond to technical clarifications.
Support the sales team during technical discussions with clients.
Coordinate design revisions and obtain necessary technical approvals.
Support production during manufacturing whenever technical clarification is required.
Assist in preparing technical submittals and documentation.
D. Documentation & Quality Compliance
Maintain organized records of quotations, drawings, calculations, and BOMs.
Ensure the latest approved drawings are used for manufacturing.
Review technical documents before submission to clients.
Ensure compliance with approved project specifications and company quality procedures.
3. Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
5-8 years of experience in LV switchboard design and estimation.
Practical experience in LV panels, MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, MCCs, and related equipment.
Good knowledge of IEC 61439 and SEC specifications.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
Experience in electrical component selection and cost estimation.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Good command of English.
