Role overview
Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshoot workshop equipment, welding machines and tools to reduce breakdowns and production stoppages.
Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on workshop equipment, welding machines and tools.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs within the authorized scope of work.
Respond to breakdowns and coordinate safe equipment isolation and return to service.
Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown records and spare-parts requirements.
Report recurring faults and coordinate planned maintenance with Production to minimize disruption.
Qualifications
Relevant technical or vocational qualification, or equivalent practical maintenance experience with industrial workshop equipment.
Technical skills
Equipment fault diagnosis; preventive maintenance; welding-machine and workshop-tool maintenance; safe isolation practices; maintenance records and spare-parts follow-up.
