We are looking for position of Process Engineer with oil and gas experience for offshore Kafji operations

Job Summary
The Process Engineer is responsible for the design, operation, optimization, and technical support of offshore upstream oil & gas production facilities, including Gas Oil Separation Plants (GOSP), crude oil and gas gathering stations, produced water handling, and water injection systems. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient production in full compliance with KJO Standards ,international codes, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Upstream Production & GOSP Operations
• Provide process engineering support for wellhead platforms, manifolds, GOSP, and gathering stations.
• Design, review, and optimize multi-stage oil, gas, and water separation systems.
• Monitor and improve crude stabilization, gas handling, and condensate recovery processes.
• Support slug handling, emulsion control, and chemical injection strategies.
• Analyze production performance and implement debottlenecking and optimization initiatives.
Gathering Stations & Pipeline Interface
• Ensure stable operation of crude and gas gathering systems, including pipeline hydraulics and surge control.
• Evaluate operating envelopes for flow assurance, slugging, hydrates, wax, and corrosion risks.
• Support pigging operations and interface with onshore processing facilities.
• Perform mass balance and allocation support for production accounting.
Water Handling & Injection Systems
• Provide process engineering oversight for produced water treatment systems (hydro cyclones, CPI, IGF, filters).
• Support seawater treatment, deoxygenation, filtration, and chemical dosing for water injection.
• Optimize water injection rates, pressure control, and pump performance to maintain reservoir pressure.
• Ensure compliance with injection water quality specifications and environmental discharge limits.
Process Design & Engineering
• Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, and process narratives.
• Perform process simulations using tools such as Aspen HYSYS / UniSim for steady-state and transient analysis.
• Prepare and review process datasheets for separators, pumps, compressors, heaters, and injection systems.
• Define operating philosophies, control schemes, and alarm limits.
Process Safety & Compliance
• Lead and participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and LOPA studies.
• Ensure compliance with SAES, SAMSS, API, ASME, ISO, and environmental regulations.
• Support Management of Change (MOC) and incident investigations.
• Review and update operating procedures, startup/shutdown manuals, and emergency response plans.
Project & Modification Support
• Provide process engineering input for brownfield offshore upgrades, tie-ins, and debottlenecking projects.
• Review EPC contractor deliverables and ensure adherence to Saudi Aramco standards.
• Support commissioning, start-up, and performance testing of GOSP and water injection facilities.
• Coordinate with Reservoir, Production, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical, and HSE teams.
Operations Excellence & Optimization
• Identify opportunities to enhance production efficiency, energy utilization, and asset reliability.
• Support digitalization initiatives, KPIs tracking, and production optimization studies.
• Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior engineers and operations staff.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
• Core experience in upstream oil & gas processing, preferably in offshore facilities.
• Strong experience with GOSP, gathering stations, and water injection systems.
• Proven knowledge of International and upstream best practices.
• Proficiency in Aspen HYSYS / UniSim and process safety methodologies.

Working Conditions
• Offshore rotational assignment (e.g., 14/14 or 28/28 rotation)
• Compliance with Saudi Aramco HSE, PTW, and offshore safety requirements

Basic Salary per month will be 3000 USD
Note: Offshore work experience shall be an added advantage.
