Camera Security Operator

Camera security duties involve monitoring live/recorded feeds, identifying suspicious activity, responding to alerts, documenting incidents, and liaising with security/police, alongside maintaining equipment and ensuring data privacy, all to prevent crime and ensure safety. Key responsibilities cover active surveillance, rapid response, detailed reporting, and technical upkeep of the CCTV system for seamless operation.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
Surveillance & Monitoring:
Watch multiple live video feeds for unusual or threatening behavior.
Control camera PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) functions to track subjects.
Identify and report security breaches, theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.
Incident Response & Reporting:
Dispatch alerts to on-site security or law enforcement.
Provide real-time updates and detailed descriptions of suspects/situations.
Log all events, alarms, and actions taken in detailed reports.
Retrieve and store footage as evidence for investigations.
Equipment & System Maintenance:
Perform routine checks to ensure all cameras and recording systems are functional.
Troubleshoot minor technical issues and report major faults.
Manage video storage, archiving, and data backup.
Compliance & Communication:
Adhere to data protection and privacy regulations.
Maintain clear communication with security teams, management, and clients.
Prepare daily activity summaries and incident reports.
Key Skills Required
