Field Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary
The Field Mechanical Engineer is responsible for supervising and executing mechanical installation, testing, and commissioning activities at site to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable standards. The role supports efficient project delivery through strong site coordination and technical oversight.

Roles & Responsibilities
Supervise mechanical installation and construction activities at site

Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and mechanical standards

Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and HSE teams to ensure quality and safety

Review and implement method statements and work procedures

Monitor site progress, productivity, and material usage

Resolve technical and site-related mechanical issues

Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities

Maintain site records, reports, and as-built documentation

Mandatory Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Diploma not acceptable)

Minimum 10+ years of field/site experience in mechanical works

Mandatory SCE (Saudi Council of Engineers) membership – valid and transferable

Proven experience working on substation projects (power / electrical substations)

Strong knowledge of mechanical installations, testing, and commissioning

Familiarity with applicable mechanical codes and safety standards

Ability to mobilize immediately

Proven experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary site teams
