Job Title: Maintenance Mechanical Technician
Job Summary

The Maintenance Mechanical Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems to ensure efficient and safe plant operations. The role supports preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, conveyors, and valves.

Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently to reduce equipment downtime.

Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and maintenance procedures.

Install, align, dismantle, and assemble mechanical components and machinery.

Conduct routine inspections and lubrication of equipment according to maintenance schedules.

Ensure compliance with safety rules, company policies, and maintenance standards.

Record maintenance activities, breakdowns, and spare parts usage accurately.

Coordinate with production and electrical teams during maintenance and shutdown activities.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability.

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance (industrial or manufacturing environment preferred).

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, bearings, seals, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.

Basic knowledge of safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices.

Ability to work shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
