PES University was established in 1988 as a private and self-financing institution with name as PES Institute of Technology by the Public Education Society (PES). In the year 2013 it has been granted as the Private University by the UGC and renamed as the present "PES University". The university is imparting the education in engineering, Management and Life Science and Medical fields. All engineering courses are approved by the AICTE.
