The Site Engineer is responsible for the on site implementation, supervision, and commissioning of CCTV, physical security, and access control systems. The role ensures that all installations meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements while coordinating with project managers, vendors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
• Supervise installation of CCTV cameras, NVRs, DVRs, network switches, racks, and related infrastructure
• Oversee deployment of access control systems including door controllers, readers, locks, turnstiles, and biometric devices
• Coordinate installation of physical security components such as barriers, bollards, gates, and alarm systems
• Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and local regulations
Site Coordination
• Conduct site surveys and prepare material and manpower requirements
• Coordinate daily site activities with contractors, technicians, and subcontractors
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and other trades to resolve site related issues
• Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to project timelines
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field
Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, IP cameras, video management systems, and networking basics
• Experience with access control systems including RFID, biometric readers, and controllers
• Understanding of physical security systems and low current installations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Experience
• 2 to 5 years of experience in security systems installation or site engineering
• Hands on experience with structured cabling and low voltage systems
