Job Title: Blending Chemist / Production Chemist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified candidate with a strong chemistry background to support the blending and mixing of raw materials according to approved formulations. The role involves preparing perfume or chemical batches, ensuring accurate measurements, maintaining consistency, and supporting production quality standards.

This position is production-focused and does not involve laboratory analytical testing.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Blending & Mixing Operations

Prepare and mix raw materials according to approved formulations and batch sheets.

Ensure accurate weighing and measurement of chemicals and fragrance compounds.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) during blending processes.

Monitor mixing time, temperature, and production parameters.

Maintain batch consistency and prevent cross-contamination.

2. Production Support

Coordinate with warehouse for raw material issuance.

Ensure proper labeling and identification of prepared batches.

Assist in filtration, maturation, and transfer processes (if applicable).

Support scale-up production from small to large batches.

3. Quality & Safety Compliance

Ensure all blending activities comply with safety regulations.

Use appropriate PPE while handling chemicals.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of blending area.

Report any deviations or formulation discrepancies to Production Manager.

4. Documentation

Record batch details, quantities used, and production timing.

Maintain proper production logs and batch manufacturing records.

Assist in inventory monitoring of raw materials.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

2–5 years of experience in perfume, cosmetics, FMCG, or chemical manufacturing.

Strong understanding of chemical handling and mixing techniques.

Knowledge of safety standards for handling alcohol, fragrance oils, and chemicals.

Good mathematical and measurement accuracy skills.
