Job Summary:
The Land Surveyor will be responsible for measuring and marking land boundaries, conducting precise surveys, and preparing reports and maps for construction, engineering, and land development projects. This role involves working with advanced surveying equipment and software to provide accurate information essential for project planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct Surveys: Perform land surveys using a variety of methods, including GPS, total stations, and traditional surveying tools, to gather data for property boundaries, topography, and land features.
• Data Analysis: Analyze survey data to produce detailed maps, plots, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and federal regulations.
• Site Assessment: Inspect and assess sites to gather information on ground conditions and features, providing insights that inform project planning and design.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of survey data, site assessments, and legal descriptions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to provide surveying expertise, ensuring projects are executed according to survey specifications.
• Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on survey progress, addressing concerns, and delivering final survey results.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure optimal performance and accurate measurements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all surveying activities are performed in accordance with local laws, regulations, and professional standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Land Surveyor or in a similar surveying role.
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment.
• Proficiency in surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with clients and team members.
• Professional certification as a Land Surveyor (if applicable) is preferred.
