Understands the job scope and hazards before work starts.
Ensures safety requirements (PPE, gas test, barricades, etc.).
Explains the permit conditions to workers in the crew.
Supervises the work to make sure it follows the permit rules.
Stops the work if unsafe conditions appear.
Returns or closes the permit after work is finished.
