Job Title: Cost Control Engineer (Local Transfer only)
Skills & Experience:
- Engineering bachelor’s degree (Mechanical Engineering) / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- CCP (AACE) workshops, training, certifications, or from other relevant bodies.
- At least 5 to 7 years’ relevant cost control and cost engineering experience in the industry
field (shutdown and T/A is a must, in addition knowledge of Piping Works, Steel Structures, Civil and E&I is expected).
- Experience with various types of contracts especially with ARAMCO, SABIC, other major clients in Saudi Arabia.
- Knowledge of projects & contracts especially Lumpsum, T&M, WUR & Re-Measurable.
- Proficient in MS Office, ERP skills would be an advantage.
Job Description:
The Cost Control Engineer will be responsible on the assigned project, functionally reporting to the
Operations Manager and administratively reporting to Cost Control Manager adhering to the below
roles & responsibilities not limited to.
Preparation of Project Control Budget, organize monitor, control and provide cost analysis,
and reporting.
Monthly / Daily Cost Report with accurate forecasting on EAC with P&L analysis.
Preparation of Cost plan, Revenue plan monitoring and control
Preparing of project cash flow, Invoicing and payments.
Identification and monitoring of the direct and indirect & other cost as per budget.
Flag rising/alarming in time to project manager on cost overrun, problems, deviations from
the plan and assist on the corrective actions /mitigations for recovery plan.
Preparation of Monthly Work in Progress / VOWD.
Interdepartmental coordination on project related activities.
Handling Change Orders/ variance orders and other commercial related items to the Contract.
Maintain related Register and monitoring.
Verification of vendor Bid Tabulation against the budget and suggestions accordingly to
concerned.
Assistance to the Project Manager on contacts with the Client and with Sub Contractors.
Involvement in dispute resolution if any against the vendors for the claims/ back charges etc.
Assessment of economic Risks and Opportunities.
Participation in the definition of economic changes in respect to the Contract.
Negotiations with Clients.
Verifying the invoices from Sub-Contractors, issuing payment certificates to vendors.
Assisting Estimations Department on new Bids.
Reconciliation of Project Costs at Project Completion, preparing project closeout reports
