Luxury Hotel Group Construction Project-Senior Mechanical Engineer /Mechanical Engineer

Job Responsibilities
1. Review the detailed design drawings and construction plans of HVAC, water supply and drainage, fire protection, gas and special hotel systems (swimming pool, kitchen, laundry room), and put forward optimization suggestions to reduce costs or improve energy efficiency.

2. Review the technical parameters and submission documents of key equipment such as chillers, boilers, water pumps, fans, air conditioning terminals and fire pump sets to ensure compliance with Saudi SBC and hotel management company standards.

3. Coordinate the comprehensive pipelines, equipment foundations, reservation and embedding and maintenance space between mechanical systems and civil engineering, electrical engineering and hardcover through BIM or drawings, and issue technical instructions.

4. Formulate the joint commissioning plan for the full mechanical system (including HVAC water balance/air balance, fire pump linkage, gas system testing), supervise the subcontractor's commissioning and review the report.

5. Ensure that mechanical design, materials and construction meet the mechanical chapter of SBC, NFPA fire standards, ASHRAE energy-saving requirements and the acceptance regulations of the Civil Defense Bureau/Municipal Hall.

6. Compile the three-level schedule for the mechanical professional, review the technical data, completion drawings and operation and maintenance manuals submitted by the subcontractor.

7. Be on-site during the installation of refrigeration plant/boiler room, the peak period of comprehensive pipeline construction, system joint commissioning and before the hotel management company's opening inspection to solve major technical problems and participate in acceptance.

Job Requirements

1. Full-time bachelor's degree or above (master's degree is preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC or related majors, must hold a valid registration certificate of the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) (Mechanical Engineering category), and the level is not lower than "Professional Engineer" or "Senior Engineer".

2. As a mechanical person in charge, have more than 10 years of experience in the entire process of mechanical engineering of large-scale or super-large-scale public buildings (construction area ≥ 100,000 ㎡, such as hotels, commercial complexes, hospitals, stadiums, etc.), including HVAC, water supply and drainage, fire protection, gas and special hotel systems such as swimming pools/laundry rooms.

3. Proficient in the mechanical chapter of Saudi Building Code (SBC), fire standards and technical guidelines of international brand hotel management companies (Marriott/Hilton/InterContinental), able to independently review detailed drawings and lead the acceptance by local supervision and Civil Defense Bureau.

4. Have experience in managing a mechanical technical team of more than 5 foreign and Chinese personnel, and be able to fluently use English to conduct technical negotiations with owners, supervision, hotel management companies and Saudi government regulatory authorities.

5. Led the joint commissioning of the full mechanical system for no less than 3 large-scale public building projects (including HVAC water balance/air balance, fire pump linkage, gas system testing), and can quickly diagnose and handle complex mechanical faults.
