Job description
The Commis is responsible for supporting the daily production of bakery and pastry items, ensuring all products are prepared according to standard recipes, quality guidelines, and hygiene standards. The role focuses on consistency, cleanliness, efficiency, and teamwork within the production kitchen.1. Production Preparation & Execution
Assist in preparing bakery and pastry items including doughs, batters, creams, and fillings
Ensure accurate measurement, consistency, and adherence to standard recipes
Maintain product quality in texture, taste, and presentation
2. Product Quality & Finishing

Support in baking, assembling, and finishing products to brand standards
Ensure proper portioning, decoration, and presentation consistency
Follow supervisor instructions for product specifications
3. Hygiene & Food Safety

Maintain cleanliness of workstation and production areas at all times
Follow food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
Ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients
4. Waste Control & Cost Efficiency

Minimize ingredient wastage during production
Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) system for ingredient usage
Report any wastage or discrepancies to supervisors
5. Teamwork & Communication

Work collaboratively with bakery and pastry team members
Follow instructions from senior chefs and supervisors
Maintain a respectful and cooperative working environment
6. Punctuality, Grooming & Discipline

Maintain punctual attendance and proper grooming standards
Follow uniform and hygiene requirements
Adhere to company rules and kitchen discipline
7. Productivity & Output Efficiency

Ensure timely completion of assigned production tasks
Maintain steady workflow during peak production hours
Support daily production targets
