Role Overview
The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role focuses on ensuring optimal indoor air quality and temperature control while maximizing system efficiency and longevity.
Key Responsibilities
• Installation & Commissioning: Set up new HVAC units, ductwork, and climate control systems according to technical blueprints and manufacturer specifications.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine servicing, such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and replacing filters to prevent system failures.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems and execute repairs or component replacements promptly.
• Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all local safety regulations and environmental protocols regarding the handling of refrigerants and electrical components.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all repairs, inspections, and parts used for internal reporting and client records.
Key Requirements
• Certification: High School Diploma or Vocational Training in HVAC/Refrigeration; relevant trade certifications (e.g., EPA or local equivalents) are highly preferred.
• Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial HVAC maintenance and repair.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams, using manifold gauges, and operating leak detection equipment.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varied weather conditions while carrying heavy equipment.
