Position: Safety Officer – MEP Project

Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified Safety Officer for MEP projects to ensure all site activities are carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring site safety, conducting inspections, and promoting a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor HSE policies and safety procedures at project sites.
Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
Ensure all MEP activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
Monitor work permits, toolbox talks, and safety trainings.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports.
Ensure proper use of PPE by all workers and staff.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors regarding safety matters.
Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.
Identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with local authority and client safety requirements.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
Minimum 3–7 years of experience as Safety Officer in MEP or construction projects.
NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety certification preferred.
Good knowledge of construction and MEP safety standards.
Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and risk assessment procedures.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage site safety effectively.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of UAE/Qatar/GCC HSE regulations.
Experience in high-rise, commercial, or industrial projects.
Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
