High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) are mandatory vehicle number plates designed to improve security, prevent theft, and standardize vehicle identification across India. In Telangana, HSRP implementation follows the guidelines of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and the Telangana Transport Department. These tamper-proof number plates help authorities track vehicles more efficiently and reduce the use of fake registration plates.
HSRP plates are manufactured using high-quality aluminum and come with advanced security features. Each plate contains a chromium-based hologram of the Ashoka Chakra, a unique laser-etched identification number, and a non-removable snap-lock system. These features make duplication and tampering extremely difficult. The plates also include the “IND” marking and reflective sheeting for better visibility during day and night driving.
