1. Electronic System Design & Shop Drawings
• Review and develop Low Voltage (LV) and Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) schematics, loop calculations, and battery calculations.
• Design detailed Cause-and-Effect Logic Matrices mapping out how the fire alarm control panel interacts with other building systems.
2. Software Programming & Panel Configuration
• Configure and program addressable fire alarm control panels, network nodes, and Graphic User Interfaces (GUI).
• Set up software zoning, device addressing, and sensitivity levels for optical, thermal, and multi-sensor detectors.
• Program network commands for complex multi-panel networks spanning across large-scale facilities or high-rise structures.
3. ELV Systems Interfacing & Integration
• Coordinate physical and protocol-level integration with the Building Management System (BMS) via BACnet, Modbus, or dry contacts.
• Manage interfaces with mechanical smoke management fans, motorized fire dampers, elevator recall controllers, and access control doors.
commissioning
• Execute loop continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, and troubleshoot ground faults or short circuits.
• Hand over fully functional, zero-fault systems with verified as-built documentation and software backups.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Communications, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering. (Civil engineering degrees are not accepted for this role).
• Professional Registration: Active membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) under the Electrical/Electronics branch.
• Experience: 4+ years in ELV construction or fire alarm engineering, with proven hands-on field experience.
• Technical Skills: Mastery of AutoCAD, specialized loop calculation tools, and vendor-specific panel programming software.
