1. Operate and monitor utility equipment including boilers, air compressors, HVAC systems, chillers, and water treatment systems.
2. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on utility equipment.
3. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and utility system failures.
4. Conduct routine inspections and record operational parameters.
5. Ensure uninterrupted supply of utilities to production areas.
6. Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and work orders.
7. Coordinate with Production, QA, and Engineering departments to support plant operations.
8. Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for efficiency improvement.
9. Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, safety, and environmental requirements.
10. Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new utility equipment. Utility technicians
11. commonly perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, and repair activities to ensure reliable utility operations.
Qualifications
1. Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, HVAC, or a related field.
2. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in utility maintenance within a manufacturing or food production environment.
3. Knowledge of boilers, compressors, chillers, HVAC systems, pumps, and water treatment systems.
4. Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and P&ID diagrams.
5. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs.
6. Basic computer skills (MS Office and maintenance systems).
7. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to work shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
