ALG is seeking a qualified Rigger Level 1 with Saudi Aramco approval to support lifting and rigging operations at various project sites. The Rigger will be responsible for assembling and dismantling rigging equipment, securing loads, and assisting crane operators to ensure safe and efficient material handling. This position demands a strong understanding of rigging techniques, tools, and safety standards, as well as compliance with Saudi Aramco regulations and requirements.
A Saudi Aramco-certified Rigger Level 1 is responsible for planning and safely executing heavy, complex, and critical lifting operations. They manage rigging crews, inspect lifting equipment, and calculate weights, load centers, and sling angles in strict compliance with Aramco and OSHA standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Lift Planning: Create, review, and execute detailed lifting plans for general and critical lifts, including tandem lifts.
· Load Calculations: Calculate precise load weights, centers of gravity, sling angles, and stress factors to ensure stability.
· Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre-lift inspections on all rigging gear (slings, shackles, hooks, chains) and discard defective equipment.
· Crew Supervision: Lead Rigger Level 2 and Level 3 personnel, directing daily toolbox talks and coordinating with crane operators.
· Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to Saudi Aramco standards (e.g., GI-8.001) and permit-to-work systems.
· Communication: Direct crane operators through standard hand signals and radio communication.
· Inspect, assemble, and dismantle rigging equipment according to job requirements and safety standards.
· Assist crane operators in securing and moving loads safely and efficiently.
· Ensure that all rigging operations comply with Saudi Aramco standards and company safety policies.
· Conduct pre-lift inspections and report any hazards or equipment issues promptly.
· Maintain proper documentation of rigging activities and inspections.
· Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks safely and effectively.
Qualifications & Requirements
· Valid Rigger Level 1 certification with Saudi Aramco approval is mandatory.
· Proven experience as a rigger in construction, oil and gas, or industrial settings.
· Strong knowledge of rigging equipment, techniques, and safety regulations.
· Ability to work at heights and handle physically demanding tasks.
· Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions carefully.
· Commitment to safety and adherence to Saudi Aramco and company standards.
· Certification: Mandatory valid Saudi Aramco Rigger Level 1 Certification.
· Experience: Typically 5 to 10 years of proven experience in heavy lifting operations within oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial construction projects.
· Technical Knowledge: Expert understanding of load charts, crane assembly, manual configurations, and specialized rigging gear (e.g., lifting clamps).
· Communication: Strong command of English (reading, writing, speaking) is required
