Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced 6G TIG & ARC Welder with expertise in heavy wall pipe welding for oil & gas, petrochemical, and industrial projects. The candidate must be capable of performing high-quality welds in the 6G position while meeting project specifications and international welding standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform 6G pipe welding using TIG (GTAW) for root passes and ARC/SMAW for fill and cap passes.
Weld heavy wall carbon steel and alloy steel pipes according to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and fabrication drawings.
Ensure weld quality complies with project requirements and applicable codes (ASME/API).
Prepare, fit, and align pipes before welding.
Inspect welds for defects and carry out repairs when required.
Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
Follow all company safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
Work closely with supervisors and QC inspectors to achieve production and quality targets.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience as a 6G TIG & ARC Welder.
Proven experience in heavy wall pipe welding.
Skilled in TIG root and SMAW/ARC fill and cap welding.
Ability to read welding drawings and follow WPS.
Familiarity with ASME Section IX, B31.3, and applicable welding standards.
Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial construction projects.
Valid welding certificates are preferred.
GCC/Saudi Arabia experience is an added advantage.
