- Inspect all equipment (Cranes, Trucks, Trailers, Heavy Equipment) to ensure 100% ready to mobilize to the projects locations.
- Verify the mechanical integrity, safety compliance, and operational readiness of heavy transportation assets and lifting machinery.
- Minimize equipment downtime, prevent mechanical failures, and ensure strict compliance with international lifting and transport safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Rig Move Planning:
o Author, review, and execute detailed Rig Move Plans, route surveys, and comprehensive journey management protocols.
- Field Supervision:
o Provide direct on-site QHSE oversight during critical phases including Rig Down, heavy equipment loading, hauling, and Rig Up.
- Permit to Work (PTW):
o Risk-assess and clear high-risk operations, including heavy lifting, critical crane lifts, working at heights, and oversized cargo transport.
- Equipment & Fleet Inspections:
o Enforce rigorous preventive checks on heavy transport fleets, multi-axle trailers, cranes, and lashing/rigging gear to ensure operational readiness.
- Quality Assurance (QA/QC):
o Implement quality tracking metrics to eliminate Non-Productive Time (NPT) and ensure subcontracted transport vendors meet strict corporate benchmarks.
- Incident Investigation:
o Lead immediate response and root-cause analysis (RCA) for any transit accidents, lifting near-misses, or drops, executing long-term corrective actions (CAPA).
- Targeted Training:
o Plan and control the specialized rig-move safety briefings, continuous risk workshops, and specific heavy-haul toolbox talks for diverse multi-cultural crews.
- Expected KPI`s and Outcomes:
o Deliver a Zero Lost Time Injury (LTI) and zero asset-damage record across all high-risk transit campaigns.
o Optimize best cycle times through seamless, compliant logistics execution, directly minimizing operational downtime.
o Guarantee a 100% compliance score with major client safety mandates and regional road safety policies.- Material Testing: Inspect incoming materials & equipment.

- Pre-Rig Move Inspections. Check test certificates and run field tests.

- Site Inspections: Monitor daily transportation & Rig Move activities to verify adherence to standards.

- Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR): Document unaccepted work or failing materials and issue the non-conformance reports and follow up on corrective actions.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate registers and logs, inspection checklists, and test results.

- Prepare final quality dossiers for projects activities.

- Equipment Inspections: Perform pre-delivery, routine, and post-maintenance inspections on heavy trucks, hydraulic trailers, and mobile or crawler cranes.

- Lifting Gear & Structure Testing: Inspect crane booms, outriggers, wire ropes, hooks, and load-bearing structures for cracks, wear, or deformation using Visual Testing (VT) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) coordination.

- Mechanical & Hydraulic Verification: Audit braking systems, engines, transmissions, pneumatic systems, and high-pressure hydraulics on trucks and trailers.

- Compliance Certification: Verify that all cranes hold valid third-party load test certifications and that trucks/trailers meet regional transport authority safety regulations.

-Lifting & Rigging Gears Audit. And cargo secure items (Belts, Laches, Ropes etc.) Audit.
Defect Documentation: Log maintenance deficiencies, issue quarantine notices for unsafe equipment, and sign off on corrective maintenance reports.


Requirements and Qualifications

Education
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a related equipment technical field.

Certification
- Certified Lifting Equipment Inspector (e.g., LEEA) and NDT certifications are highly preferred.

Experience
- 05 to 10 years of mechanical quality inspection experience on heavy equipment or Rig Move operations.

Skills
- Strong blueprint reading, knowledge of standard testing methods, and clear technical writing skills.
