I am a dedicated and results-oriented Transport Coordinator and Logistics Operations Professional with practical experience in transportation management, container logistics, port operations, fleet coordination, customer service, driver management, shipment execution, and empty container operations.

Throughout my career, I have developed strong experience in managing complex transportation activities in fast-paced logistics environments where effective coordination, quick decision-making, accurate follow-up, and communication between multiple stakeholders are essential.

Currently, I am working with ABC as a Transport Coordinator, where I am responsible for coordinating and managing transportation operations involving approximately 200 trucks. My role covers a wide range of activities across the complete transportation cycle, from receiving customer requirements and arranging shipment pullouts from the port to coordinating export containers, managing drivers and trucks, following up on deliveries, and ensuring empty containers are returned successfully.

Maersk Project Experience

One of the important parts of my professional experience has been my involvement in the Maersk Project.

During the project, I worked in a supervisory and transportation coordination capacity, managing port-to-port transportation operations and ensuring that trucks, drivers, containers, and shipments were properly coordinated.

The project required continuous communication and coordination between different parties, including customers, drivers, port and terminal teams, and internal operations staff. My responsibility was to ensure that transportation activities were executed according to operational requirements and that any issues affecting the movement of shipments were addressed as quickly as possible.

I was involved in monitoring truck movements, coordinating drivers, following up on shipment status, handling operational challenges, and ensuring that transportation activities continued smoothly despite the pressures and changing requirements of daily port operations.

After the completion of the project, my responsibilities continued to include local transportation operations and empty container returns, giving me broader exposure to different stages of container logistics.

Fleet & Transportation Management

One of my key responsibilities today is coordinating operations for approximately 200 trucks.

Managing a large fleet requires strong planning, communication, and follow-up. Every day, I coordinate truck and driver requirements according to customer shipments and operational priorities.

My responsibilities include:

- Allocating trucks according to shipment requirements
- Coordinating drivers and daily transportation activities
- Following up on truck movements and trip progress
- Managing port and terminal-related transportation activities
- Monitoring shipment execution
- Coordinating delivery requirements
- Managing empty container movements and returns
- Following up on delayed or problematic trips
- Communicating operational updates to customers and internal teams
- Resolving transportation issues and minimizing unnecessary delays
- Ensuring trips are properly followed up and completed

Working with a large fleet has strengthened my ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple operations simultaneously, and make practical decisions under pressure.

Port & Shipment Operations

I have extensive hands-on involvement in port transportation operations, particularly container shipment pullouts.

When customers have shipments requiring transportation from the port, I coordinate the required trucks and drivers and follow up on the movement of the shipment from the beginning of the trip until completion.

This includes coordinating shipment information, confirming transportation requirements, arranging the appropriate truck and driver, monitoring the operation, and following up with relevant stakeholders when there are delays or issues.

Port operations can involve unexpected challenges such as congestion, terminal capacity limitations, documentation issues, waiting times, system-related problems, and changes in customer requirements. My role is to coordinate with the relevant parties and find practical solutions so that transportation can continue with minimum disruption.

Export Container Booking & Coordination

Another important part of my responsibilities is handling export container transportation and booking requirements.

I coordinate with customers and operational teams regarding export shipments and ensure that the transportation arrangements are aligned with the shipment requirements.

This involves understanding customer requirements, coordinating container movements, arranging trucks, communicating with drivers, following up on port activities, and ensuring that the transportation process is completed properly.

Accurate communication is especially important in export operations because even a small delay or misunderstanding can affect the entire shipment schedule.

Customer Coordination & Service

Customer communication is an important part of my daily work.

I deal directly with customers regarding transportation requirements, shipment movements, truck arrangements, container operations, delays, empty returns, and other operational matters.

My approach is based on clear communication, quick response, accountability, and practical problem-solving.

When a customer faces an operational issue, I focus on understanding the situation, identifying the cause, coordinating with the relevant teams, and finding the best available solution.

I believe strong customer relationships are built through reliability and consistent follow-up. Customers need to know that their shipments and transportation requirements are being actively monitored and that operational problems are being handled professionally.

Driver & Truck Coordination

Drivers are a critical part of transportation operations, and effective driver coordination is essential for maintaining fleet productivity.

I regularly communicate with drivers regarding trip assignments, loading locations, port movements, delivery locations, empty container returns, waiting times, operational instructions, and changes in transportation requirements.

I also follow up when drivers experience difficulties during trips and coordinate with the relevant teams to resolve issues.

Managing a large number of drivers requires patience, clear communication, proper planning, and the ability to respond quickly to changing situations.

My objective is always to ensure that drivers have the correct information and that their trips are completed as efficiently and safely as possible.

Empty Container Management

Empty container returns are another major area of my operational experience.

After a container is delivered or a shipment is completed, the empty container often needs to be returned to the appropriate terminal or yard. This process can become challenging when terminals are congested or when there are restrictions on accepting empty containers.
