We Are Looking For 8 Technicians Specialized In Gas Detection Systems, With A Monthly

A gas detection technician needs strong technical aptitude in electronics and instrumentation, hands-on experience with calibration tools, and a firm understanding of industrial safety standards.

Technical Skills

• Equipment Proficiency: Operating, testing, and repairing combustible and toxic gas detectors, flame detectors, and infrared cameras.
• Calibration & Maintenance: Performing routine calibration, preventive maintenance, and functional testing of fixed and portable gas monitoring systems.
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Identifying circuit faults, sensor failures, and reading Fire & Gas (F&G) system architectures or PLC-based safety systems.
• Software Tools: Using Computer-Based Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and safety data management software.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Education: A high school diploma paired with a technical certificate, or a diploma in electronics, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or industrial automation.
• Safety Certifications: Standard industry credentials like OSHA, NFPA compliance knowledge, or specialized Authorized Gas Tester and H2S safety training.
• Vendor Certifications: Specific training on major manufacturer systems (such as Dräger, MSA, Honeywell, or Simplex/Tyco) is frequently required

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail: Ensuring accurate sensor readings and precise calibration logs to prevent hazardous leaks.
• Problem-Solving: Quickly diagnosing erratic readings or system alarms in high-pressure environments.
• Communication: Reporting equipment status clearly and coordinating safety actions with plant operators or emergency response teams.
